Canada Day

Happy Canada Day. Canada is now 153 years old.

This July 1st is very different than any I have experienced in years past. With the COVID-19 pandemic we are all struggling to meet the proper social distancing protocols as recommended by the provincial and federal governments. Let’s all do our part to beat this.

If you scroll through the images below you will see the photos that were taken three years ago in July during our flight across the country celebrating Canada 150. We visited the ten provincial capital legislature buildings with our Canada Flag for a photo op, and sometimes were greeted by local politicians.

Victoria, British Columbia Edmonton, Alberta Regina, Saskatchewan Winnipeg, Manitoba Toronto, Ontario Quebec, Quebec Halifax, Nova Scotia Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island St.-John's, Newfoundland and Labrador Fredericton, New Brunswick Ottawa, Ontario Abbotsford, British Columbia

We also visited friends and relatives, and Air Cadets training for their pilot licence. Our journey started in Victoria, British Columbia on July 1st and we arrived in St. John’s, Newfoundland on July 29th; our best July ever. Then it was on to Ottawa, Ontario and Parliament Hill.

The full story of our adventure is on our other website at www.canada150flight2017.ca. The trip was a real good flying adventure and a great opportunity to see this wonderful country from coast to coast. The people we met along the way made the whole trip worthwhile

Stay safe, stay healthy.
